This Last Stop is one of the coolest and most surprising things they’ve done in who knows how long. I don’t care where they don’t entirely nail it. This is fucking awesome.

Yeah, but even on the record, that is just the outro to Last Stop at the end. Not a reprise. A true reprise is the end of LIOG, more-so in the live setting and especially when they separate it from the song with other songs.

They need to practice that transition into the reprise like 100 times. They’re always screwing up there

Got it, thanks!

During the verses Dave is playing his parts slightly differently. It looks like he’s simplified it just a bit, probably to take stress off of his hand sliding back and forth on the fretboard. I actually don’t mind it, his parts during the verses and chorus don’t cut through too much anyways (he’s much more prevalent during the outro). Probably a smart move on his part to cut back on hand fatigue a bit.

It sounded fantastic.

There are sort of two categories of guests. One where they vamp and do some fills, but leave an extended jam part for a solo, sort of the way "insert guest into Jimi here" goes. Then the ones that know and play the songs as if they are playing with the band. It's obviously about preparation, he's coming up from Brazil, he has songs that he is playing on top of to practice. A lot of these are guys in the area and it seems like "come on out and play a tune."

It made a big difference watching him, also. He has a lot of charisma and it was so obvious the effort he put into guesting with them. A good crowd at the Gorge can definitely appreciate that.
