Jesus fuck, typsitch, please go follow TaySwift. If DMB played your favorite set, you'd complain that you didnt cum at the downbeat of the climax of the closer. Are you this pathetic in real life?

If he'd just re-write that first line I think it would be more bearable.

I really like Dave's delivery there. He seems happy & inspired, too.

You leave Taylor Swift out of this!

3-21-17 Dave & Tim Set Picks/Discussion - Eventim Apollo, London, ENG, GBR

What I don't understand is why Typsitch is going to 3 shows this year. He clearly isn't happy with Dave or the band, but he continues to see them each year, multiple times. I just don't understand. Not an attack or anything. Just trying to make sense of it.

Oh exactly, I'm not interested in seeing D&T, so I'm not. I'll listen to the tapes, sure, but that's no sweat off my back.

I didn't think the sets looked great and IMO the core staples of songs Dave keeps playing are way beyond stale at this point. And I don't like the new songs or covers so these sets really look boring to me minus a few gems sprinkled in. Sorry I didn't get the memo that all comments in this thread must be positive btw, otherwise you're just "pathetic". This place is really starting to suck.

that makes sense. I'm still debating myself, as it will be hard to find SPAC tickets for both nights. I want to punch that hacker that compromised my cc in the face

I'll give them Watchtower, otherwise screw the rest of the covers.
Total bs they break out these new ones, dig into the catalog of songs people are paying to see.

Want to save $95??
Killer cover band at the bar this Friday, heck he even does some dmb and it's all free.

"She's A Woman" was performed nicely and was fitting for the British crowd. I would rather this one over "Watchtower".

I'll give you that one too, thing is Dave has trouble not getting locked into something. I can see 3-4 covers becoming the norm real easy with him

I'll match you and give you that too . My question though is, what if Dave did 2 covers a night, like 1999? When he was playing Winona, Boat, Horses, etc. that tour?

I don't mind the "old covers", in particular watchtower, Wynona, angel.
Ones from a time period when they did t have as many songs to pick from.
What I don't care for is when they take time to learn a new one vs "learning" an original and playing that.
That said, I don't think there should be more then one cover a show.

If my tires were consistently loud or constantly blew out on the highway, I'd buy different tires. You keep throwing money at Walmart, blowing tires, complaining extensively about those tires, and then return to buy more tires.

I was there both nights. Crowd was incredible. I was expecting better sets overall but that said they sounded fantastic. We ended up 3rd row night 1 and 10th night 2. Overall, one of the best musical experiences I've had. Dave played The Stone after I shouted it a couple times in the second set - after the second he basically told me to simmer down and that he'd do it... he ended up doing it the next song. Went to the front after Nancies ended and he signed my poster. He signed quite a few things for the peeps up front. Amazing few days.
