That's... interesting.

Edit: I take that back. It's uninteresting and repetitive garbage. In the 1990s, it didn't make it on an album. In 2018, it would have.

a little a little bit, but I also think it has a strong Blue Water baboon farm feel in the structure and the Reverby violin sections.

It's clearly an early version of what would you say.

I would love to hear some of the other evolutions that get it to the wwys they ultimately settled on.

I imagine there was a version where the "I would say" turn into boyd saying "what would you say?" and Dave saying "I would say..." which must be clunky as hell

Copperpot is the man. He has unearthed some great stuff in the last few years. Thank god he is out there and has earned the notoriety on instagram / twitter etc that he is able to find this stuff. Pretty amazing 26 years down the road.

I fully agree. He has done incredible things for our community.

In regards to the song, it's an interesting jam. Thanks for sharing this, DeviRule201!

Yeah, this is basically a soundcheck jam from, when, 1992? Pretty cool, but nothing ground-breaking.

Agreed. Fun to hear though.

This isn't a prelude to WWYS, as that song was written by at least 1991, but I definitely think it's a spin-off/relative of it. They were doing all sorts of things with WWYS in the early days, including that awesome Not A Motherfucking Thing version from '92 I think that Jack referenced.

I don’t think of that as even a relative of WWYS. That sounds like a soundcheck jam that got ditched immediately and with good reason.
