But then they couldn’t have used the worst Bond theme in the history of the series.

For me picking a favorite from The Bends, OK Computer, Kid A, or In Rainbows is next to impossible. I always want to give OK Computer the edge but then something about the other three makes me pull back. I have strong attachments to them, I had never listened to Radiohead before 2008 and then I basically listened to those four back to back to back to back and was blown away.

That might be why HTTF doesn't hold up for me even still, I went to that one next and it felt like I just hit the brakes after going 100 miles an hour. It just did not compare for me.

I find Hail to the Thief is fine to put on in the background and not pay too much attention to it. Basically, it's fine. But worth mentioning that Myxomatosis is great, and Wolf at the Door is a career highlight for me. I think it's as good as anything they've done even though the album doesn't hold up to those four.

Yeah Wolf at the Door is easily the best track off of HTTF. I'm also a big fan of 2+2=5 and There There. The album certainly has highlights... I think it would have benefited from a few less tracks. I've always found that album to be less than the sum of it's parts...

Interesting he left off I Will, especially considering the subject matter or inspiration for the song.

I would have jettisoned the bold and added We Suck Young Blood, I Will and A Punch Up at a Wedding.

Ah I forgot about A Punch Up at a Wedding, that's a good one too.

Thom Yorke solo tour this fall, tickets on sale in a couple minutes via Waste, general on sale is on Friday.

I am pumped he's hitting Cleveland.

Edit: Got second row center for Cleveland!

Managed to pull 12th row left for Kings Theater for Night 1.

Couldn’t make Radiohead this summer because it was smack in the middle of a ton of other shows with work running interference but I’m stoked for the solo show.

So prompted by the discussion here I did my first full listen of Hail to the Thief in forever. The opening felt as strong as I remember it (though Sit Down Stand Up is still too long a song for what it is) and I started thinking maybe I underestimated it. Then I got to the middle section of Backdrifts through the Gloaming and it went off the rails. It's just too much. I mean, I do like some of those songs but all together it just doesn't flow and it bogs everything else down. There There through the end is strong too. It's a shame because there are some really strong songs here but I never find myself wanting to pick this album up and listen to it.

I just wanted to say that I've finally listened to this carefully and I must say, this is now my definitive version of this album. Wow!

In an interview that came out today Thom said that he has a new solo album finished and coming out next year.

The Daily Mail might be in my top 10 Radiohead songs. It is so good.
