IOY doesn’t count because that was on CT.

The timing was too coincidental. They busted them out because these sessions leaked. Kill the King hadn’t been played in seven years and break free in two. It’s not like they were in rotation during the summer. I bet we see a few this summer.

They likely chose KKT and BF because they’re finished songs that they’ve played live before

I still believe something from these sessions that has never been played will be played EVENTUALLY.

Maybe, wouldn’t count in it though. All those songs have been in existence for well over a decade and have never been played. When they leaked, it would have reminded the band about them, but if nothing from it pops up this year, I doubt they ever will..the leak was the only chance that it would spark the band to relearn some of them...they did KTK and Break Free (which also played in 2016) so barely any effort to play anything from it. I’d say that’s enough to go by.

Come On Come On made it onto an album all those years later.

They could easily do that to another one of these songs on a future album.

Yeah that’s a good point but the only reason any songs from those sessions were worked on was because of Alagia who basically convinced Dave to go back and listen to those sessions. He did exactly that..and we got Can’t Stop, IOY and come on come on out on CT. Two of which were songs they played live pretty consistently. Who knows how many of those songs they tried to rework for the latest album, but once again, it’s srill a a long shot in mind.

Agreed. And I think the response to the lillywhite sessions was during a time when the band was at its peak popularity, and fans were clamoring for those songs to be released. The Batson Sessions leak came and went pretty quietly, so I’m sure the band doesn’t feel the need to “give fans what they want” like they did with the LWS.

Yeah and honestly the songs on Batson Sessions aren’t even close to being as finished and complete as the LWS were
