In past years I've looked at the Toronto show on Ticketmaster to see how it sold leading up to it. Kind of shocked to see all the amp seats sold out except for isolated singles here and there in the 400s. Only lawns are on sale otherwise. And on StubHub all the prices are inflated, with pits going for double the price. Demand seems way above what I've seen for Toronto the past 5-6 years at least. And this is one of the shows where the ticket price actually stayed exactly the same since 2016.

If I ever meet Rashawn again I think the first thing I want to ask him is if he’s the musical director of DMB why does he let Dave write the set lists?

I love Dave quite a bit, but someone needs to steal his pen EVERY SHOW around song 10. And when he has terrible ideas like last night, they need to gut what he’s written.

I just can’t even believe that Dave himself thought that set was a good idea. Is he trolling?

Are you referring to last night? I see absolutely nothing wrong with that set except for Hunger.

You guys read way too much into that. I was just making fun of Rashawn because I have nothing else better to do with my time.

But, I mean, sure, he probably could have done a better job writing last night, because anyone could have.

I sort of admire how consistently vested in setlists a lot of you guys are. I'll peek, be like "meh," and move onto whatever else I'm doing (which, as mentioned, usually isn't much). The way you guys still debate these things night after night after the trackrecord this band has when it comes to writing sets over the last 10 years or so is...admirable. It's been a long time since I had even the remotest hope that DMB would deliver an amazing set. I look at these things expecting C+/B- thoughtfulness and variety and sometimes find they'll surprise me with a "B" effort though most of the time they deliver the predictable C/C- effort. "A"-level setlists don't happen anymore, and haven't for a decade. There are too many mediocre or crappy songs in the catalogue now.

I'm not saying any of this to sound above the fray or anything. I'll still make the occasional nonsensical post in those threads (usually just being like, "open this shit up already") but I don't watch sets all night anymore. I just admire that some of you still care - passionately - whereas I more or less gave up a long time ago. I mean, they brought back Hunger last night and have played The Last Stop seven times in the last seven years. What is there to care about anymore?

Carter is now doing almost all of the percussion (if not all of it) on TGIY. I know Rashawn didn't play the drum last night and I don't think Jeff played the shaker.
