I'd be excited too if I saw my first show in an era filled with garbage like the '05 tunes, and then they finally played those bangerz again!

Looks like a thoroughly okay show. Some highlights, some duds.

I really wish they'd do what most every other band does and finish shows with a run of bangers instead of new songs and Stand Up stuff. The last 3-4 songs of a set should really be stuff that gets the crowd hyped and closes strong. They have a knack for weird anticlimactic main set finishes.

I'm pinning this solely on Dave. What are attendance numbers like so far? I can't imagine the places are packed. Honestly, I'm glad I'm waiting till the last minute to decide if I'm going to Camden n2. Might be saving some loot of they don't turn things around in the next week.

The positioning of the songs in this show is different at least. Nancies > Warehouse is earlier than usual. Jimi too. IOY is later. Midset Sister (not a good thing, but still). Hello Again a bit later. Billies later, but not a closer. Overall, the songs are a bit more jumbled up.

I hadn’t heard Hello Again since ‘05 — so it was pretty cool to see that pop back up. Jimi needs to just be burned to the ground forever. And dear, god — who did I piss off to get Bayou & Smooth Rider in the same show?

The band sounds really good still; Buddy is a great add. My wife (the casualest 30+ show DMB fan in history) made this point, and I agree with it: you don’t miss Boyd for 90% of the concert, but the 10% you miss him is really noticeable.

That's a good description of the Boyd absence. So far I've missed him mostly in Jimi and Ants. Those were two songs where he usually almost always nailed good solis even towards the end of his DMB career.

The intro to Warehouse was another really big "Man, I miss a violin here..." moment.
