He didn't mean a live concert track. He meant the band recorded it in studio, together, live. As opposed to cobbling it together from seperate takes. (My understanding at least)

Bahahahah Dave's impersonation of Cavallo distracted me from this whole commentary on Again & Again.
"This song is a surprisingly complicated piece of music that fell into my hands, and I have no idea how I did it. I have no idea what the chords are. It's a beautiful song. It's a song of gratitude."

B&BB: "It's a bit of a waltz. Odd time signature. Bit of a song for my kids. We're seeing the light that hits our eyes 600 years ago. I like the lyrics a lot. When my song sings the line (about Beetlejuice), I feel I did something right."

"Starts with big fat Carter groove. Some people can play a slow groove so big, and Carter can. And then slip a little hi-hat. Pretty images. It's a little bit sexy. That's it. "

Not much to say about Come On Come On.

Yup, I officially love Come On Come On. Cheese be damned. It soars. Not like classic DMB, but for this iteration, it's among the best they've done.

I couldn't tell if he was talking about time-wise, or fit-wise. Seemed like time, which is weird. Is 54 minutes the golden standard or something?

Yeah, I'm enjoying it right now more than ever (ie: the first 3 times I heard it)

DYR, about his friend he lost. "He's a central part of my life. His kids are a central part of my life. It's important we don't hoard what we have at the expense of others' well-being. Because that's it. This was one of the most amazing people on the planet. It's a song about remembering good things."

So, who is this guy?

Edit: tamby's answer makes more sense

Whoa. Come Tomorrow was written in 05-06.
Though he says the lyrics were finalized this year.

He said it was just an idea from 05-06. Half done. Lyrics were written quickly this year.
