Yeah concert prices have been going up across the board, that doesn’t mean DMB has to copy everyone else. Even at 85$ a ticket they’re making a fortune. The band members could each take a little less and give back to the crew etc. there are ways to pay everyone without gouging the fans. It’s cool that it comes with the copy of the album, so that helps, but what about people that don’t want the album? It’s like forcing people to buy it even if it sucks and kind of what Mario said, that it guarantees a chart spot.

This band does give back to the fans and has always done so more than a lot of artists. But there’s also some head scratching stuff they do too. Like this and just not trying to play venues more suited to the hardcores or playing sets catered to hardcores once in a while.

At the end of the day, they’re going to do what they do and we can’t control that. They know were gonna pay. And I’m not going to pretend that I’m boycotting shows over that either because none of us are. But it does sting, and if this album sucks I’m seriously considering stopping going to shows after this tour. I’ll hit the gorge maybe this year just to do it once, and might call it quits. I’ll stull follow them and the live releases and what not but going to shows to hear all these terrible songs interrupting the flow of sets and the band playing the old stuff like full blown rock songs has worn on me.

Hmm. Toronto prices cap out at $95. I feel like that’s what they were in 2016 if not less.

and it's just lower pavilion that got raised significantly, right? They didn't raise prices $30 across the board. That shouldn't affect ticket sales at all. There are plenty of people who would pay an extra bit to sit front of pavilion or pit instead of upper.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve also got real bills to go along with a real family. Ugh.

I'm sure in their minds, including the album with the tickets justifies the price increase, at least somewhat.

Except here's the thing. Actually pre-ordering the album separately will surely come with some kind of cool bonus disc so we will all end up buying it on its own anyway. Meaning we will all have 2 copies of the album laying around. A true win for Cap$haw!

Or, you know the higher price could be to give their crew raises.

Or, you know, they could give their crew a raise, keep prices the same, and take home less than a quarter million dollars a night in profit.

I'm going to pass this year, they're still my favorite band, but this isn't the band currently i'd pay $115 for.

46 tour dates is A LOT. I hope Carter and Boyd are prepared for that amount of shows.

I'm looking forward to the new album, i don't expect anything great, hopefully they prove me wrong.

So don't sit lower pavilion, and it's about the same price you'd pay last time. Not like any of us get lower pavilion for even a quarter of the shows we order any more.

It's a copy per ticket, right? I'll probably end up with 4, plus the one I buy for the bonuses.

Lol you said the exact same thing about buying the album twice in the other thread.

My wife said the exact same thing and followed it up with: “I booked a hotel in Hartford, we’ve never seen them there, we’re finding a babysitter and we’re going.” Hah, I do love her.

In all seriousness, I put in for tix to this. Anyone know what the cost will be? I missed D&T this summer when my son was born and need to go.

I was thinking some of, if not all the the venues might of raised their "rental" price to.

$145. Going to be a tough ticket to come by with the size of the place and the fact the Grammys are happening in the same city that day.
