As I'm starting to discover/listen to more and more Grateful Dead, having all those shows in Spotify is freaking awesome. If it wasn't for that, I probably wouldn't bother trying to become a fan.
Agreed, it sucks they have such a limited catalogue on Spotify.

The moment “Back in the High Life” kicks in I get goosebumps. Especially with the Winwood reference earlier in the episode. “Of course I do. I own all his albums!”

Is that the same type of pre-Super Bowl show they did a couple years ago (which was uneventful and not so great)?

Believe so. The Warehouse from that show pretty good though from what I remember. But that's DMB now, we're ecstatic if we get at least 1-2 Above average performances per show now. Really don't need many full shows to be released from '14-Present....just compilations of stand out performances..because there are just very few full shows that will stand up as a full release these days.

Itching to get back out there and play, it seems.

This has "and so begins the marketing for a new album" written all over it, IMO.

It kind of makes me feel like they're planning a lot of time on the road in 2018.

It specifically announces them as "headlining", so maybe someone else plays too? Warehouse tickets are $130/70 before fees, kind of almost too steep for me (realistically, for anyone, c'mon Capshaw) but for a show that close to me I don't think I can pass it up. The last show at Xcel in 2015 was pretty damn good, there is is no aud.
