Blackjack 9/10/10 - no joke, really good version with some impassioned Dave improv lyrics in the outro
Mercy 7/19/14 - always enjoy live versions on tape, nice clean and even performances. Dave on the piano and RR/Jeff are good.

Boyd is nice here. Dave improvs out of necessity. Love Roi on the flute. Pennywhistle?

Love that Dave improv. Something about a hard winter? So good.

Don't Drink The Water 7/16/14 - simply too fast and loud, no dynamics - and I actually love fast/Tim driven DDTWs. This one misses the mark for me though. It's a quick transition into Seek Up. Love what Jeff is doing on this one, Rashawn simply squeaks too hard - his actual soling is solid but then he feels the need to go way over the top.

YMDT 9/28/07 - it's amazing how terrible YMDT used to be, decent Dave outro.
Break Free 6/23/06 - OK version, but really like when this one pops up. It's different.
Watchtower 7/28/00 - standard/solid
Proudest Monkey 9/30/09 - I miss how Jeff used to play all throughout this song.

Pretty great rendition of Captain here, LeRoi really digs into a similar horn line he plays on the actual LWS that I never noticed before.

I was at 12/13/02. If they just switched the order of the 1st 2 songs it would have helped.

Also ants after everyday would have really helped.

Goddamn is this refreshing. Been a while. Roi and Boyd sound so damn good and inspired.

#27 9/29/07 - this is amazing, Boyd is all over this one and Dave sounds great.
Warehouse 10/24/15 - nothing stood out to me, average 2015 version.
#41 6/14/99 - does it get any better than 1999 #41s? Perfect structured jam, Roi and Fonz sound great.

Agreed. That stuff makes such a huge difference even if it’s “minor,” overall.

The flute is sorely missed in 41. And nowadays so is the sax. So sad how that song has regressed

Crazy stuff. They’ve turned arguably their best song to a very mediocre live tune.

Also, Merry Christmas to everyone here celebrating.

This is the best 2005 show I've heard (and I guess that's not saying much.) I really enjoyed this one, even the Stand Up songs they played sound like classic DMB, for the most part. And how do you go wrong with a Recently opener and mid-set Seek Up and Minarets?

And to contrast that last post, this 2012 show just feels like it was played way way way too fast. Sure, there are some slow jams in this set, but this is "DMB as a party band" to the highest power. I'm glad they've dialed it back a bit since then.

This is the essence of DMB's sound. No organ, guests, wailing electric guitar, skreeing, squealing trumpet, etc.

Yes ma'am. I bumped the thread. And 15 years since the LT was released.

This show has the "it" factor that not too many other shows have. It's a desert island release for me, still in my top 5 Trax.

DMB: 5/27/93 (Set 1)
Thanks for curating this one - It's always nice to hear "new" 93 tapes, especially New York shows.

The show sounds very nice.
