Best track from the SU session in my opinion. Shame they cut it and never tried it live.

Awesome track

NP: 2/11/93 - ΣΦE, University of North Carolina: Thursday night party
Kegs stands for everyone!

NP: 6/1/09 Beacon Theatre. SBD/Matrix. Pretty good sounding tape. The Beacon is great theatre. I saw Death Cab there maybe 10 years ago. Last row. With full orchestra.

2009 = space > bread = awesome.

Love The Space Between opener.

Band sounds great so far. I'm really enjoying this international tour. Always a vibe to the shows you can't hear anywhere else.

My least favourite song in their catalogue.

You must have a high tolerance for garbage music. There are significantly much worse songs in their oeuvre.

gweeps 09-09-2021 07:54 PM

This Two Step (10/21/15) has the "overflow" outro. Forgot they used to do that. :rawk

Listening to this March 1999 radio show. I really am enjoying the interview sections. Amazing how things have changed in some fundamental ways.

NP: 6/24/11. I don't think I've heard "Good times bad times" before by DMB. Not bad, not great. I loved the show otherwise.

gweeps 09-14-2021 10:47 PM

You should hear them do Kashmir then. :lol

edit: holy shit, this aud is super duper. Shut up Dave!

DMB’s Kashmir was maybe the worst cover they’ve done. Most because of Dave.

That's my main problem with the covers, is that they don't pick ones suited for Dave. Obviously their best ones are the ones that are right in Dave's wheelhouse--Maker, LBV, Watchtower, Hey Hey My My etc...Always wanted DMB to try Solsbury Hill again, loved it with D+F, and DMB did it twice in '09 and I'm surprised it didn't come back at any point.

Forgot they tried Solsbury Hill back in 2009. Listening to the first version. Jeff is nice on the flute. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

And they could extend it and let Jeff solo/shred at the end and it'd be really great. Also Rashawn doesn't play on it. And I'm sure Buddy would add some nice fills. Could do without Dave's out of key wailing at the end, but that's the case for a lot of songs.

gweeps 09-15-2021 05:09 AM

Various songs from 2/6/99. We need another Dave & Tim tour.

Btw, does anybody have a clean copy of Pay for What You Get? The torrent I downloaded has corrupted files in it and one of them is this song. Not sure about any others. Bursts of static.

NP: 3/8/95. SBD. Nice show. But I like winter '95 a lot.
