Good point on playing in Texas.

But really, It's just the way he carries himself. Go surf, loser.

Wilson's gonna love LA. :lol

roshea999 12-09-2011 11:32 AM

A few notes on Pujols.

10 years is crazy, sure, but it isn't that bad of a contract for Los Angeles. You are still getting the best hitter in baseball for the next 4-5 years. Coupled with the fact he can get more downtime as a DH. It should be OK (until years 8-10).

Very important to remember that LA is up for a new television contract this year. They made about 50 million dollars off it last year. Reports indicate they are eying as much as 150 per season on a new deal. This only helps.

If they can win a WS, the increased value of the franchise will make the deal worth it. Their owner is loaded. I think this is great for LA.

I also don't buy that Albert is lying about his age. A great read about it here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

So, here's a question. Where will Prince Fielder end up? What type of contract will he get?

Part of me wants to go out on a limb and say he goes to St. Louis. But I don't think he will.

Doubt he goes to Seattle or Chicago. Probably not the Brewers.

I don't think the Cubs are going to offer him the kind of contract he wants.

I say he goes to Miami or Washington.

sean52692 12-09-2011 08:32 PM

Oh and he'll get a huge contract. Probably just a tad less than Pujols got.

NiCK (Crush) 12-10-2011 12:13 AM

Prince Fielder will not be a Marlin.

NiCK (Crush) 12-10-2011 12:13 AM

It'll be Mariners or Rangers.

Interesting. I forgot Prince Fielder was an agent because of all the attention on Pujols. Then I read this article on Yahoo and was reminded:

yeah, probably one of those 2 or the Nationals.

NiCK (Crush) 12-10-2011 07:47 PM

Ryan Braun tested positive for PEDs.

sean52692 12-11-2011 01:29 PM

Now they're calling it a "prohibited substance" instead of PEDs.

Cardinals signed Beltran!

K270 12-23-2011 07:40 PM

Still nothing on Prince Fielder. Last report I read was Scott Boras was going for 10 years at 25.5m. Anybody think a team will pay that amount for that long? I wonder if the Giants could snag him?

roshea999 12-27-2011 03:19 PM

I think someone will give Fielder at least 8 years. 10 isn't out of the question.

I wouldn't give him more than 6 (7 with an option)

I wish, but Sabean already said "no big splashes" this offseason....that Rowen and Zito money is killing us....

NiCK (Crush) 12-29-2011 09:48 PM

Indians could use the fuck out of Prince Fielder. Wish they had the means.
